This week's club of the week is the Sentinel Stitches, which is run by Mrs. Larson. She teaches Sewing 1 & 2, Teaching 1 & 2, and Child Development. Mrs. Larson stated, “I have been teaching for 20 years and I love it! I never feel like I'm going to ‘work’ because each day is full of new surprises. I love connecting with students and creating hands-on projects through sewing.” She created the Sentinel Stitches because she, “loves sewing and all things yarn”, so she made the club for the students who have the same passion for sewing. There are 17 members who meet 1 time per month in advisory. In the Sentinel Stitches, students crochet, knit,
embroider, and use sewing machines. They are open to new club members, as Mrs. Larson states, “YES! The club is open to new members! Come and have fun! It's a great club to learn a new skill or sew your own clothing. The best part about the club is that you don't have to know how to sew to join. You can learn once you join the club!” Thank you to The Sentinel Stitches for being our club of the week.
