This week's club of the week is the Chess Club, run by Mr. Super, who teaches science, mostly Biology, and in addition, from this year, geology and environmental science. The chess club consists of 25 members who meet every Wednesday and Friday in advisory. They are welcoming more people to join and learn to play chess, and keep tabs on wins and losses. Mr. Super says, “We're still going until the end of the year, and we're looking at next year, of course, to make up. They also have a middle school branch. Central Middle School has a chess club.” This chess club started out when a student came to Mr. Super and said that they wanted to start a club. Mr. Super explained, “He approached me and wanted to start a chess club, and I was more than happy to help him and give him a place to do it, so I offered my room.”
