By Kendall Bice
Early this week an 87 year old man from Willow City North Dakota was in a t-bone crash with a truck. The truck held a 37 year old man and his 2 year old son.
Neither of the two were injured. The highway police say the truck failed to yield at the sign on 8th avenue and 82nd street. The willow city man was severely injured and was taken to the trinity hospital.
The 37 year old man pleads not guilty to being under the influence of alcohol during the crash. The car crash remains under investigation by the NDHD.
Also early this week on Monday, a body was discovered in the Souris valley River. The man was 52 year old from Minot named Micheal Gates.
Investigators think he suffered a medical condition that caused him to go into the river where he passed. They yet still have to discover where in the river he entered,
His family reported him missing on Monday afternoon, and a few people who were fishing had found the body. His death is still under investigation.
