Minot North to Hold Its First-Ever Prom: A Night to Remember
By: Kendall Bice
This Saturday, Minot North High School will host its first ever prom, marking a historic moment in the school’s journey. As the school celebrates its first graduating class and its debut year, students, faculty, and parents are coming together to make this event one for the books, a night that will be remembered for years to come.
Minot North, which opened its doors only this year, has quickly made a name for itself as a center of academic excellence and a growing sense of school pride. The community, eager to create lasting traditions, has finally brought the dream of a prom to life.
This year’s prom is being organized by Mrs. Lindgren, a beloved gym teacher at Minot North, with help from a dedicated team of students, as well as Mrs. Ralph and Mr. Huss. Parents are also playing a major role by preparing for the after prom party, ensuring the students will have an unforgettable night.
When asked if any new traditions would be started at this year’s prom that haven’t been held in previous years, Mrs. Lindgren was eager to share. She said that this is the first time in many years that there will be a King and Queen crowned at prom. It’s something that hasn’t been done before, and they are really excited to introduce this tradition to the school.
For many students, this prom is not just a dance, but a symbol of the bonds they’ve built over the past year and a celebration of the community that’s come together to make Minot North a special place to be.
As the big night draws near, there’s an overwhelming sense of anticipation. Whether it’s the crowning of the King and Queen, the first dance, or simply spending time with friends, the first ever prom at Minot North promises to be a night for the history books.
