Unit 3: Review of Lab Safety and Power Tool Operation (2 Weeks)

The unit provides a detailed review and assessment of safety in the lab, and proper use and operation of common power tools used in the lab. Students will be subject to safety and competency assessments before beginning any work in the lab.

Standard 9.1 Student should be able to demonstrate the ability to use the proper power tool for the application / process.Standard 9.2 Student should be able to visually inspect power tools to determine if they are safe to use.Standard 9.3 Student should be able to safely use power tools.
