Unit 31: Careers in the Trades (1 Week)
In this unit students will have a basic understanding of numerous careers found in the trades involved in the construction field.
Standard 1.3 Student will be able to identify and describe the construction processes that relate to the function of construction systems.Standard 1.7 Student will be able to identify the aptitudes, behaviors, and skills needed to be a successful carpenter, (i.e. Employability Skills, Communication Skills, 21st Century Skills).Standard 1.8 Student will be able to identify the training opportunities within the carpentry trade.Standard 1.9 Student will be able to identify the career and entrepreneurial opportunities within the carpentry trade.Standard 1.12 Student will be able to explain the importance of safety in the construction industry.
