Deforestation is the cutting down of trees in our forests. Deforestation has always been a threat to our environment, but humans still continue to do it.

One of the most dangerous effects of deforestation is the loss of animal and plant species due to loss of habitat. 70% of land animals and plant species live in forests. Australia has lost 27% of rainforests, 19% open forests, 11% woodland forests and 28% mallee forests since 1750. Australia is the worst offending country for mammal extinction. By destroying our world, we are setting up our future generation for disaster. We all need to make change right now, we are all responsible, are you going to act?

In addition to loss of habitat the lack of trees also allows a great amount of greenhouse gases to be released into the atmosphere. Healthy forest absorb carbon dioxide, deforested areas lose at ability and release more carbon dioxide. From 1990 to 2019, the total amount warming effect from greenhouse gases added by humans increased by 45%. We need to resort to renewable energy and other climate friendly energy resources. David Attenborough said “what we do in the next 50 year will determine the fate of our lives”!

How truth is the whole control of your water in our atmosphere. By helping to regulate the water cycle in deforested areas, there is less water in the air to be returned to the soil, this then causes dryer soil and the inability to grow crops. To prevent this we need to control deforestation, because it is the cause of all of these issues. We all need to realise how damaging deforestation is and put an end to this because if we want to survive we need a healthy earth.

Loss of habitat, increased greenhouse gasses, and lack of water in out soil is all contributing to the end of the world. If we do not make a change now the human race will soon be doomed, and we will not have a healthy home to live in. To start now vote for politicians

Who care, plant a tree, grow a herb garden, and teach your kids about how important our environment is. We can save our world if we start now!
