This release delivers productivity improvements for day-to-day data entry workflows, assessment compliance updates aligned with NRS guidance, expanded reporting access, and new state-specific integrations. Bug fixes address reliability and accuracy across searches, reports, and hours tracking.

📢 Important Notice: Cross-Agency Tracking Update (LA-22264)

This release includes a change to how Periods of Participation (PoPs) are established for students copied into a new agency via Cross-Agency Tracking (CAT). 

With this update, PoP Start Dates, instructional hours, and MSGs in the destination agency are now determined solely by activity occurring within that agency. Assessments copied via CAT continue to be available as pretests, and CAT hours continue to count toward posttest eligibility, but they no longer influence PoP creation. Affected student PoPs have been resynchronized.

Programs using Cross-Agency Tracking are encouraged to review student PoPs and NRS outcomes in the receiving agency to confirm data accuracy following this release.

✨ Feature Highlight: Clone Row Now Available

LACES now supports cloning existing records to use as a starting point for new ones. Programs that frequently enter similar records can now duplicate an existing row and update only the fields that differ, significantly reducing repetitive data entry.

What's included

• Clone Row Action: A clone option is now available on supported record types, creating a new record pre-populated with data from the selected row.

• Multiple Areas Supported: Clone Row is available across several areas of LACES where repeated data entry is common.

• Editable After Cloning: All fields on the cloned record are fully editable before saving, giving staff full control over the new entry.

🚀 General Updates & Enhancements

Clone Row (LA-21687) Added the ability to clone an existing record as the starting point for a new one, reducing repetitive data entry across multiple areas of LACES.

Batch Add Goals for Data Entry Clerks (LA-18250) Data Entry Clerk role users can now add Goals in batch, consistent with the capability available to other staff roles.

Secondary Email Address for Staff and Contacts (LA-17685) A secondary email field has been added for Staff, Tutors, Volunteers, Donors, and Contacts.

TABE CLAS-E Total Scores Excluded from EFL Gain Calculation (LA-22170) TABE CLAS-E Total scores will no longer generate an Educational Functioning Level gain for fiscal year 2025–2026 and beyond, in alignment with updated NRS guidance.

Alternative Placement Field Moved to Assessments Grid (LA-21895) The Alternative Placement reason field has been relocated from the Education tab to the Assessments grid, placing it alongside the assessment record it describes.

LPS Admins Can Delete Integrated Hours (LA-22193) LiteracyPro Support administrators can now delete integrated hour records to support data correction workflows.

Monthly Performance Chart and Enrollment Snapshot Widget Available to All States (LA-22325) The Monthly Performance Chart, previously available only to Ohio, is now available to all LACES state clients under Students → Reports at the SEA. The Enrollment Snapshot – Agency vs. State dashboard widget is also now available to all clients at the Dashboard. 

🐞 General Bug Fixes

Instructional Hours Not Updating from Imported Pair Hours (LA-22033) Fixed an issue where Instructional Hours Since Last Assessment in Subject Area did not update when hours were entered via imported pair records.

"Enrolled with Another Adult Education Provider Detail" Field Error in Views and Searches (LA-22376) Resolved a regression where using the Education panel field "Enrolled with Another Adult Education Provider Detail" in a custom view or search caused an error.

Report Date Conversion Error on Malformed Date Input (LA-22391) Fixed an error that occurred when running reports after a user entered a malformed date in a report parameter field.

🛠 Performance & Technical Enhancements

FY Summary Legacy Code Removal (LA-18480) Removed outdated legacy business rule code from the FY Summary engine and all client databases, reducing maintenance overhead and streamlining future processing.
