What Branch of the military do you plan/want to join? "Air Force"

Why? "My dad was in this particular branch of service."

What do you plan to achieve while in the military? "To become an officer and fly cargo planes."

Any family members in the military? "My dad."

What made you decide to want to join to military? "I got a good ASVAB score."

What are your family’s thoughts on you joining the military? "They are okay with it."

What are your thoughts on leaving your family and friends? "I don't want to, but I'm ok with it."

What Branch of the military do you plan/want to join? "Army"

Why?  "It will help with college and help me be more disciplined."

What do you plan to achieve while in the military? "Get my G.I. bill for when I retire. Also, I want to learn leadership and responsibility."

Any family members in the military? "My father was in the Marines."

What made you decide to want to join to military? "I always wanted to join since my freshman year since my father was a military man. I just never knew what branch I would end up in." 

What are your family’s thoughts on you joining the military? "They are very proud of me yet they are also a little scared."

What are your thoughts on leaving your family and friends? "I don't want to leave them but I can't stay and depend on my family forever."

What Branch of the military do you plan/want to join? "Marine Corps" 

Why? "I’ve always wanted to join since I was a kid."

What do you plan to achieve while in the military? "I have many goals but the one that sticks out the most is to provide for my family."

Any family members in the military? "I have multiple family members that have joined the Marine Corps."

What made you decide to want to join to military? "Seeing how successful my family members were and I want to be a part of something that was bigger than Texarkana." 

What are your family’s thoughts on you joining the military? "They support me but worry about many factors of military life." 

What are your thoughts on leaving your family and friends? "It's sad, but it’s something that's unavoidable."

What Branch of the military do you plan/want to join? "I plan on joining the Navy." 

Why? "Well, there has never been a specific reason as to why I have wanted to join. The main reason I think is because I know I don't want to get stuck in Texarkana… Many people have scholarships and all of that, but for me, I was never really interested in school enough to receive one. I also know that a scholarship can only get you so far." 

What do you plan to achieve while in the military? "In the military, I hope to get some of my basic schooling completed and to learn and experience different places in the world. 

Any family members in the military? "I have some family members that joined. The main one is my Papa.. He was in the Marines." 

What made you decide to join the military? "Mainly the fact that I did not want to get stuck in Texarkana is the reason why I decided to join. I know it is not going to be easy, but if it gives me an opportunity to venture out then I am going to take it."

What are your family’s thoughts on you joining the military? "My family really does not mind me going to the military… They all think it is a good idea for me to start my life somewhere other than this town. My family is not from Texarkana, so we don't have many people here that we know like that, so it will be a good way for them to get out too once I am gone."

What are your thoughts on leaving your family and friends? "Sometimes I get sad about leaving, but then I have to realize that eventually I will be back. I mean I have to start my own life eventually so why let being sad hold me back. I am going to miss a lot of people, but with today's technology, it's not hard to reach out through a text message or a facetime call." 

What Branch of the military do you plan/want to join? "U.S. Army"

Why? "I joined to get my college paid for so my mother doesn't have to worry about it."

What do you plan to achieve while in the military? "In plan to achieve a high rank and make a career out of the military-also, I need discipline in my life."

Any family members in the military? "My father."

What made you decide to want to join to military? "My father was in the Army and I want to live through him."

What are your family's thoughts on you joining the military? "They are proud and loving my decision."

What are your thought on leaving your family and friends? "I will miss them, but I'm going to be happy because I'm going to follow my dreams."
