SHOUT OUTS: LEHS BAND RECEIVES SUPERIOR RATINGS AT NORTHEAST TEXAS MARCHING FESTIVAL

The LEHS Band competed at the Northeast Texas Marching Festival in Mt. Pleasant and the Band, Color Guard and Drum Majors received Superior Ratings and Percussion received Excellent Ratings. The Band advanced to the Finals of the Contest and ranked 2nd Overall. Congratulations to the students, staff, and parents who did an AWESOME job. Our last competition of the year will be at the UIL Region IV Marching Contest in Mt. Pleasant. Thank you LEISD and the LE Community for your support.

"On October 15th, the LEHS Band received Superior Ratings from all judges at the Region IV UIL Marching Contest in Mt. Pleasant.  This is the first time since 2006 that the band has received superior ratings at UIL in consecutive years.   This could not have happened without our hard-working students, band staff, band alumni and die-hard parents making sure that "teamwork" makes the "dreamwork" for our kids. We would also like to thank our AWESOME Staff, and Administration at LEISD for supporting our mission of educational excellence and our Leopard Pride Band Booster Club for working in the trenches to make sure that our kids have everything they deserve. A special shout-out to our welding teacher extraordinaire Ray Howell ( my classmate-LE 83' baby) for taking time on weekends and after hours to volunteer to work with our band parents and staff on making our show props. It made a tremendous difference that paid off for our show. I am truly blessed to work in a place with a dedicated school and community.  Thanks and continued blessings."   - Stephanie Nelson
