Choir Updates

                 Members of the LEHS Varsity Choir competed in the TMEA Area E East All State Auditions in January.

Congratulations to: William Graham and Ja’Keidon Brown for earning a coveted spot in the 2021 Texas All State Choir.  All-State Choir is the highest honor a Texas music choir student can receive. Approximately the top 3% of high school singers are selected through a process that begins with over 70,000 students. This four-step competitive process begins throughout the state in auditions hosted by 33 TMEA Regions. Individual musicians perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each voice part. 

From this ranking, a select group of musicians advances from their Region to compete against musicians from other Regions in eight TMEA Area competitions. The highest-ranking musicians judged at the TMEA Area competitions qualify to perform in a TMEA All-State music group.
