GENERAL CARER SUPPORT

Learn how to manage your own wellbeing while caring for someone else. Get information and tips on looking after your mental health and finding support.

Includes carer's assessments, support from local councils, respite care and help for young carers.

Carers UK provides support and advice for people who are carers, and connect people together to create a supportive network. 

Carers Trust work to transform the lives of unpaid carers through collaboration, influence, evidence and innovation. 

Rethink Mental Illness provides tailored information and advice about the care and support available to carers and how they can access it.

If your child has been diagnosed with an illness, disability or sensory impairment and needs a lot of additional support on a daily basis, they're described as having "complex needs". Find out more here.

Everybody with a learning disability and/or autism has the legal right to vote in local and general elections and should be supported to be able to do so.
