FOOD, CLOTHING AND OTHER ESSENTIALS

Food banks are community organisations that can help if you can’t afford the food you need. You’ll usually need to get a referral to a food bank before you can use it. This includes all food banks run by the Trussell Trust.

Resurrected Bites is a Harrogate- and Knaresborough-based community organisation aiming to reduce food waste and food poverty. They run two give-as-you-can cafes that are open to anyone who needs them, as well as a community groceries scheme which is solely for people in food poverty. 

Recipe Station was set up by the Better Together team at Barca-Leeds in 2019 to support healthy cooking at home on a budget! The cookbook contains lots of healthy, low-cost recipes that you can try at home, as well as food hygiene tips, and links to watch their videos and join their Facebook group. 

Jack Monroe runs this fantastic website full of low-cost, healthy recipes.

This fantastic organisation provides free 7-day packs of clothes for anyone who needs it; you don’t need to be from the area to receive one. The support provided is discrete, fast, and efficient. To access, you can visit the website or call the emergency support line on 07949 591 852.
