UNDERSTANDING MISCARRIAGE

A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy during the first 23 weeks. Not everyone feels the same when they have a miscarriage but the most important thing for you to do is take care of your physical and mental health during this time.

The most common sign of miscarriage is vaginal bleeding. However, light bleeding during the first three months of pregnancy doesn't necessarily mean you are having a miscarriage. The best thing to do is to read the information on this page and follow the advice to keep yourself safe.

ECTOPIC PREGNANCY

An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes. Unfortunately, it's not possible to save the pregnancy. It usually has to be removed using medicine or an operation. Read more about this to keep yourself safe.
