Our transdisciplinary theme this term is 'Where we are in Place and Time'. We will be considering our central idea - The past has affected the future, and will compare our own homes and localities with the Indus Valley. Linking in with this our RE will focus on Hinduism. Where we have tied in different experiences.
We have looked at Google Earth to find our school.
We have made raita and mint dip to eat with poppadums.
In art we have created diyas.
Our new school puppies came to visit.
Our science focus this term is rocks - Lisa brought in a microscope for us to take a look at sand.
In English this term we have been reading stories linked to our Religious Education Topic of Hinduism. We have particularly enjoyed the story of Ganesh's race around the world.
Our maths this term is focusing on composition, comparison and pattern. We have explored pattern through sound and concrete resources. Through stories we have looked at composition and found different ways of making numbers.
