Course Description:

• Chinese I is a beginning Chinese course that will focus on building a strong foundation for Mandarin language study as well as learning cultural aspects of China. The goal is to master and apply pinyin (phonetic spelling), spoken/listening, simplified character writing/reading, and grammar while communicating using basic Chinese language.
