Teaching as a Profession 2 is the third course in the Teaching as a Profession (TAP) (PreK-12) program of study designed for students who are interested in teaching in the classroom. This course covers components of instruction and student learning, classroom management, and concepts of higher-order thinking. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be prepared to take the capstone course, Teaching as a Profession WBL, and further their studies at the postsecondary level. As part of a student’s program of study progression, the student will maintain a digital program of study portfolio, providing evidence of mastery of course standards and readiness to advance and complete the program of study.
Prerequisite: Teaching as a Profession 1 (TET2000)
