ACCN for Test Prep A/B: XAG1030A / XAG1030B

Course Description:

• This course is designed to prepare students for college entrance exams. The course is a combination of two one-semester courses, each earning one half-credit. Students electing to take the course must register for both semesters. It will be taught by a two-teacher team of one English teacher and one Math teacher, with students switching between the two teachers in two-week instructional segments, thus allowing for instruction on all aspects of the exams throughout the year. The course will also include instruction in general college preparedness such as vocabulary development, resume writing, personal essays, and the application process. There will also be guest speakers from various colleges and universities. Students who plan to attend four-year colleges or universities immediately after high school are strongly encouraged to take this course.
