This course uses geographical concepts of spatial terms, places and regions, physical and human systems, and the environment to examine our world today. Examine past and present societies to evaluate ecosystems, human patterns, and consequences of human activities on the earth. To understand the interrelationships of the natural world, students identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them. Students are actively engaged in stewardship activities as they explore their surrounding environment.
