Course Description:

Junior ROTC is an elective course taught in nearly 1,700 high schools nationwide by retired military personnel. In Hawaii, Junior ROTC is taught in 21 public high schools and is represented by all four military services on four of the major islands. Classroom instruction is combined with co-curricular activities.

• There is no active-duty recruiting mission, so there is absolutely no military obligation for Junior ROTC students.
