December 2020
Goal 1 - Further collaboration between LCD and PYP/MYP/IB Coordinators continues but the COVID situation is hindering further implementation.
Goal 3 - CAS website under construction which will be part of the tool-kit
Goal 4 - The groups discussed in the October update continue to maintain momentum, and Secondary and Primary have also connected to strengthen cross school approach in the Social Justice initiative.
Goal 6 - 30 staff across the school participated in the 4-week long online IB Approaches to Learning (ATLs) workshop. An in-house resource website has been created, collating work which the staff contributed to the course. Key staff have been identified to lead professional development sessions in January to maintain a whole school focus on mapping and embedding ATLs.
IMPORTANT
November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects have now been 'paused'.
Project 2. - This goal is reduced to unit plans only rather than every planning document.
Project 3. - Now focussing on the planning aspect only and then looking at the development of the tool-kit next school year.
October 2020
Goals 1,2,3 - Focused exploration of experiential and service learning (E&SL) at ISP undertaken at the October ELT meeting. This will support a continued focus on E&SL throughout the PYP, MYP and DP.
Goal 4 - Groups such as Social Justice and Primary Community Ambassadors have initiated action to positively influence other students across the school. Members of SLT and other members of staff are heavily involved in supporting the students with this initiative and it could be a beneficial model for others to follow.
Goal 5 - Definition of High Quality Learning has been through a few filters and is now nearly ready to present to wider staff. It can then be used to establish outcomes for E&SL.
Goal 6 - 30 staff across the whole school, including business staff, will be starting the IB Approaches to Learning Online Workshop in November. From this, planned continuing professional development dissemination and application of this learning has been organised for January onwards.
September 2020
Goals 1, 2, 3 - Planned for discussion in SLT over six weeks in Oct/Nov.
Goal 4 - Started to link with Student Leadership groups in Primary and Secondary to promote E &SL with a goal to promote agency from the outset.
Goal 5 - Definition of High Quality Learning should be completed in Sept/Oct ELT meetings, then can initiate this goal.
Goal 6 - LCD & PP planned for this goal to be initiated after a significant number of staff have attended the IB Approaches to Learning Online Workshop in Oct/Nov.
