May 2021
This month a summary of the annual goal and development as well as any future steps or recommendation is provided.
Goal 1 - Initial discussions and a part review was held but led to no major recommendation or change. The new HoS may like to revisit this topic in the future.
Goal 2 - This project is fully completed. It is part of substantial plans for the 2021 / 2022 school year.
Goal 3 - This project has been fully implemented for Grades 3 to 10. More advanced data analysis and use are planned for the 2021 / 2022 school year.
Goal 4 - This project has been fully implemented across the school. Online and video conferencing 'opportunities' will continue in the 2021 / 2022 school year.
April 2021
Goal 1 - This is a 'paused project' and no longer being considered in our current planning after initial discussions and review.
Goal 2 - The ELT is working on developing an implementation, measurement and data collection plan for high quality learning at ISP.
Goal 4 - The success of Zoom is being evaluated as we plan our meetings and events for the new school year, knowing that some are better suited to a virtual format.
March 2021
Goal 2 - The Board approved the High Quality Definition of Learning. The ELT is developing an implementation plan.
Goal 3 - The ISA testing has taken place. The Principals group are planning the data they intend to share on the Development Dashboard.
Goal 4 - A new model has been developed and published for grade level closures and short-term home schooling.
January 2021
Goal 2 - The definition is now completed and will be presented to the Governance Committee and Board for approval.
Goal 3 - ISA tests organised to take place in February involving Grades 3 to 10.
Goal 4 - Recently we launched a new 'webinar' tool for additional meetings, workshops and events to take place (on a more appropriate platform).
December 2020
Goal 2 - A final draft of the definition of high quality learning has been written and shared with the community for feedback.
Goal 4 - The online home learning programme is being used consistently with students named as a 'close contact', who are required to be out of school for several days.
Goal 4 - The online home learning programme is being delivered to several students who have not attended ISP over the last four months.
IMPORTANT
November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects have now been 'paused'.
Project 1. - Only the internal research with the SSLT will be conducted this school year.
October 2020
Goal 1 - Research questions have been established and external research has started.
Goal 3 - Planning is completed with the Principals (and the IBDP Coordinators' involvement has been engaged).
Goal 4 - The use of Zoom and live streaming lessons has being added as an optional trial.
September 2020
Goal 1 - Planning is initiated with the SSLT and HODs. Strengths, weaknesses and key questions are being documented.
Goal 2 - In September, ELT will work on the final drafts of the definition of high quality learning.
Goal 4 - Two online home learning sites have been launched: one for being fully closed and one for students who are out of school in quarantine etc.
