April 2021
Goal 2 - As the COVID restrictions have relaxed, grades have taken opportunities to increase the authentic learning experiences such Active Community Days, visits to the local areas related to units, adventure days etc.
Goal 3 - UN CRC has been referenced in Social Justice group and Safeguarding. The school is developing its policy on writing policies and a reference to the UNCRC should be referenced in the development of all policies.
Goal 5 - The DHQL has now been communicated to the community and short, medium and long term goals, KPIs and Measurement tools are being developed to enable the school to measure the success of its implementation.
March 2021
Project comments were added by the Principals Team (Principals, Assistant Principal, Head of School, Learning Continuum Director) at their 08/04/2021 meeting.
Goal 2 - Due to COVID, this aspect has been confided to internal school access and virtual access where this is relevant; such as virtual visits from an author to discuss diversity in children's literature etc.
Goal 3 - As per January's blog, the revised draft safeguarding policy is being shared widely for comment and input.
Goal 5 - The Senior Leadership Team and Educational Leadership Team have finalised a Definition of High Quality Learning which was adopted formally by the Board. This has involved extensive input from other stakeholders in the community. The next step is developing a timeline for roll out and implementation across the community.
January 2021
Project comments were added by the Principals Team (Principals, Assistant Principal, Head of School, Learning Continuum Director) at their 04/02/2021 meeting.
Goal 2 - The Secondary VPOL has worked on creating a database of all activities - online and in person - that could be used by the school, and is looking to create a team of people who will be able to move this project along.
Goal 3 - The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has been a key part of the revision of the school's Child Safeguarding Policy.
Goal 4 - The Dashboard now displays all projects aligned to each Guiding Statement area, used by the Interest and Review Teams to look at overall progress.
Goal 4 - The Board has started thinking about the process for developing the next Strategic Plan, and an invitation has been extended to the SLT to attend the March Board meeting to exchange views and launch initial discussions.
Goal 5 - The final draft of the Definition of High Quality Learning includes the words 'inquiry' and 'research', which are fundamental to ISP at its core.
Goal 5 - The school has finalised the Definition of High Quality Learning and this is now to be agreed by the Board and published to the community.
December 2020
Goal 3 - The UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child were used when drafting our Social Justice protocols.
Goal 4 - The Strategic Interest and Review Teams will meet in January to review and reflect on the Guiding Statements (records on the ISP Dashboard).
Goal 5 - The final draft of the Definition of High Quality Learning has been shared with the ISP community for their feedback.
IMPORTANT
November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects have now been 'paused'.
Project 2 - ISP has been through two 'lockdowns' in 2020 and 'field trips' have been cancelled for many months, impacting on this goal (to some extent).
October 2020
Goal 3 - This has been reviewed as part of our new learning definition drafting.
Goal 4 - Additional Dashboard reports are being designed to track the success of the Guiding Statements projects.
Goal 5 - The high quality learning definition is now at final draft stage and ready for community and Board feedback.
