IB DP Standards - Actions update

April 2021

• Goal 1 - Beta version of the CAS website has been collated

• Goal 2 - Policy document writing is underway

• Goal 4 - Action group formualting complimentary proceedures

• Goal 6 - AtL Grade level Expectations being finalised

March 2021

• Goal 1 - Drafting has begun.

• Goal 4 - Analysis of procedures supporting assessment survey has been completed and priorities for development identified (deadline procedures).

• Goal 6 - Models for ATL mapping tool and process developed based on priorities identified in consultation with HoD group.

• Goal 6 - Staff PD session to roll out ATL mapping tool and process.

January 2021

• Goal 2- Linking Academic Integrity to AtLs as a strategy for embedding is underway.

• Goal 4- Sharing survey feedback with Heads of Department for revising procedures underway.

• Goal 6 -Roadmap drafts have been completed for verification be Heads of Department

December 2020

• Goal 1 - Resources for populating the CAS website is underway including examples of student projects, sustainability, advocacy.

• Goal 2- Analysis of research into good practice from other International Schools and the IB in order to align with the new Standards and Practices.

• Goal 3 - Learning Support input is completed; planning for the other areas of the Inclusion Policy is planned for the start of the year.

• Goal 4 - Assessment process questionnaire analysed in preparation of full review.

• Goal 6 - Departments are creating Subject "Roadmaps" to link learning activities directly to the end IB assessments.

IMPORTANT

November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects in this area have now been 'paused' or deadlines have been prolonged.

October 2020

• Goal 1- Construction of CAS (creativity, activity, service) website underway and Class of 2022 Student Projects are catalogued and published to staff for supervision.

• Goal 2- Policy Draft prepared for peer review aligned with new IB Standards and Practices and IB recommendations.

• Goal 3- A review with the Learning Support coordinators has updated the policy to reflect the new programme Standards and Practices, and EAL are meeting to devise an action plan for whole school consistency.

• Goal 4- MYP and DP coordinators designed Teacher Questionnaire to measure the effectiveness of current assessment procedures.

• Goal 6- Departments completing their initial round of curriculum meetings.

September 2020

• Goal 1 - Review of CAS resources / training.

• Goal 2 - Academic Integrity viewed as an ethos.

• Goal 4 - Assessment review with New Standards and Practices.
