CIS Domain B - Actions update

April 2021

• Goal 7 - The ISP Association approved new ISP By-Laws at its General Meeting in February. These have been updated in the Board Policy Manual.

• Goal 9 - Dates identified for initial ISA information to school staff, parents and the report distribution.

March 2021

Project comments were added by the Principals Team (Principals, Assistant Principal, Head of School, Learning Continuum Director) at their 8/4/2021 meeting.

• Goal 7 - The ISP Association approved new ISP By-Laws at its General Meeting in February. These have been updated in the Board Policy Manual.

• Goal 7 - Board Committee Chairpersons have been asked by the Governance Committee to review and update appropriate policies in this current calendar year.

• Goal 9 - We plan to finalise this project as we analyse the results of the ISA testing, which we expect to receive in May. Staff will be informed and trained in methods to use them.

January 2021

Project comments were added by the Principals Team (Principals, Assistant Principal, Head of School, Learning Continuum Director) at their 4/2/2021 meeting.

• Goal 7 - The Board is aiming to approve the assessment policy and new purchase order policy before the end of the academic year. These additions will be incorporated into the Board Policy Manual as it is revised.

• Goal 7 - The new ISP Association By-Laws are to be approved at the Annual General Meeting in February and those chages will also need to be incorporated into the Board Policy Manual.

• Goal 9 - The ISA Assessments are being rolled out for Grades 3 to 10 this academic year and are scheduled for the second week in February. An internal ISP ISA Website has been created to support teachers with administration of the assessments. Included on the website are evolving templates that will be used to document data analysis or returned results and concrete next steps in planning for future teaching and learning. In addition to this, the IT Director will be involved in finding an effective way to represent the year to year meta-data, as is done annually with the IB results.

December 2020

• Goal 7 - A timeline has been established for the Board Governance Committee to complete this work, January to June 2021.

• Goal 7 - The Board approved an ISP Fundraising Policy.

• Goal 9 - ACER / ISA (numeracy and literacy) and IBDP data will be used for this project.

IMPORTANT

November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects have now been 'paused'.

Project 7 - Has been delayed to January through June of 2021.

October 2020

• Goal 7 - This project has been scheduled for Semester 2.

• Goal 9 - A specific project has been designed to examine international schools assessment (ISA) and IBDP data with outcomes expected to impact on curriculum review.

September 2020

• Goal 7 - The Board Governance Committee has developed a timetable for the Board Policy Manual revision project for this academic year.

• Goal 9 - A HR Single Central Register has now been established.
