Curriculum Development - SLT updates

May 2021

On May 3rd the ISP Strategic Interest & Review Teams met to provide feedback and suggest additional steps forward on the strategic projects above.

April 2021

  • Goal 1 - The G3-G10 ISA test results have been submitted to ISP and they are now ready to be reviewed.

  • Goal 5 - Recommendations have been made and potential PD ideas are starting to be explored.

  • Goal 6 - The Professional Learning Community is coming to the end of the cycle and will be reviewing ways to celebrate the successes of this year.

March 2021

  • Goal 2 - The assessment procedures are under way and possible changes are being reviewed.

  • Goal 5 - A review has been conducted of all areas that staff had identified as expansion points after the Professional Development day with Fran Prolman. The three designated PD days for this academic year have now been concluded and recommendations have been identified.

  • Goal 6 - The PLC has been established and the group is beginning to identify students as case studies. Learning goals, tasks and agendas have been identified.

January 2021

December 2020

  • Goal 2 - A survey for secondary school staff has been sent out and the data now needs to be analysed.

  • Goal 5 - The PD plan for January has been shared with all staff. March ATL planning will be a continuation of this.

  • Goal 6 - The Professional Learning Community will have its second meeting. The areas of focus for each meeting have been determined and colleagues have been assigned to share their expertise.

IMPORTANT

November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects have now been 'paused'.

Project 3. - Paused and on hold for this school year.

Project 4. - Paused and on hold for this school year. This important area will, however, be further developed under 'Embracing Change' Project 4.

September 2020

  • Goal 2 - Aligning the Assessment Policy to whole school procedures has begun.

  • Goal 4 -Identifying opportunities to use French language for field trips has started.

  • Goal 5 - The professional development day scheduled for October 23rd will focus on differentiation and pedagogical staff will share good practice with colleagues.

  • Goal 6 - Professional learning communities topics have been identified and expectations of the programme have been outlined.

October 2020

  • Goal 2 - Assessment procedures survey is currently being worked on by the IB Coordinators.

  • Goal 5 - PD day for October focused on differentiation. Secondary LS/EAL departments will develop a section for the whole school Intranet- sharing of resources.

  • Goal 6 - Professional learning communities topics have been identified and staff have shown an interest. Next steps will be the planning for the virtual meetings.
