Goal 1 - The procedures document continues to be in development (online).
Goal 2 - The LS policy is completed and awaiting approval from the principals. The EAL bridging document for the step-up programme between G5 and G6 is also completed.
Goal 3 - Staff have started to update managbac planners for Unit integrated subject areas (ticking the box that connects to the unit) and stand-alone units for Maths, Language, Music, Art, and PE. The French team have completed their scope and sequence which is now in Mangabac.
Goal 4 - All PYP meetings are now scheduled in SIMS, along with GLL times.
March 2021
Goal 1 - A primary school procedures document is in development (online) to match the whole school's assessment policy by the PYP coordinator
Goal 2 - The Learning Support team and EAL teams from the secondary and primary campuses have meet on several occasions in finalising the LS policy as well as developing a EAL bridging document between grades 5 and 6 for step up.
Goal 3 - The PYP coordinator and VP of organisation have updated Managebac unit templates to mirror stand alone and integrated subjects taught in the primary school for collaborative planning times.
Goal 4 - Grade Level Leaders continue to facilitate meetings with their grade levels to assist in vertical planning, in particular a focus of how we teach language in Primary and the continuation of ATL mapping across the school.
January 2021
Goal 1 - The PYP coordinator and Primary School Principal are in discussion on the next steps forward for the assessment policy.
Goal 2 - The Learning Support team is reviewing the A1 and A2 tables in the LS policy for more consistency and clarity between the Secondary and Primary campuses.
Goal 3 - All teachers reported on learning outcomes for the reporting timeline, using the scope and sequence documents for their subject areas.
Goal 4 - Grade Level Leaders facilitated two sessions on the staff PD day January 4th. This information is informing the skills we teach in each grade level.
December 2020
Goal 1 - The Primary school principal and PYP coordinator are to conduct a review of the PYP assessment policy document and PYP handbook as a next step.
Goal 2 - The Learning Support policy has been shared with the Principals for their feedback. The EAL teams across the school are reviewing the step-up programme to articulate the PYP to MYP programmes and to create a document to bridge the two programmes.
Goal 3 - Fifteen (15) PYP teachers completed the IB Approaches to Learning online course and planned a PD day to implement and map skills across the Primary school's Programme of Inquiry.
Goal 4 - Grade Level Leaders continue to plan across grade levels that include weekly meeting agendas.
IMPORTANT
November - Due to additional expectations with COVID-19 protocols / Lockdown 2 and Home / Online Learning requirements some strategic projects in this area have now been 'paused' or deadlines have been prolonged.

Goal 1 - A survey for PYP teachers has been developed to identify the engagement level of the whole school assessment policy, as well as finding out what assessment strategies and tools teachers are using.
Goal 2 - A review with the Heads of departments: the learning support team has updated the policy to reflect the new programmed standards and practices, and EAL team is meeting to devise an action plan to ensure whole school consistency.
Goal 3 - With the Primary school principal, teachers have started moderating writing samples across grade level teams. Teachers have selected learning outcomes that reflect the reports they will write for semester 1.
Goal 4 - Primary school projects are being developed within grade level teams and heads of departments; these include conversations around moderation, home-learning and the approaches to learning (whole school IB PD workshop).
September 2020
Goal 1 - With the IB coordinators, we have discussed differences between programmes, identified additional information needed and explored new ideas to inform a whole school approach to assessment.
Goal 2 - With the Student Services coordinator, we have collected processes and resources for EAL and LS across the school and highlighted differences and similarities.
Goal 3 - Homeroom teachers have identified and mapped Language and Math strands that are integrated within the Units of Inquiry as well as stand-alone units across the year.
Goal 4 - Weekly grade level meetings and middle leadership team meetings are scheduled into the timetable for teachers which include agendas and minutes for each meeting.
