Wellbeing is at the heart of conversations in education. Rightly this usually has a student focus.
Teacher wellbeing is a topic often discussed but it is rare for schools to take a serious look at what really impacts teacher wellbeing, where responsibility lies and what can be done at individual, organisational and collective levels to improve and maintain it.
This directly impacts student wellbeing and learning.
Teachers, simply put, are the biggest impacting factor in a young person's learning in school.
The session aims to have a mature, honest and impactful discussion on what we really need to think about when discussing teacher wellbeing.
Its aim is to empower teachers, leaders and communities to act together, with honesty, accountability and effectiveness.
Teacher wellbeing is perhaps the most important investment we can make. Perhaps also, we have not been investing in the right places.
Provide teachers and leaders with a model to help drive thinking and improvement in teacher wellbeing.

Biography:
James Wellings is the Director of Mougins British International School, with over 20 years’ experience in international education. He has held senior leadership roles for the past 15 years across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
His work blends a strong commitment to student and teacher wellbeing with innovation in teaching and learning. He has led award-winning education initiatives and consulted on AI and learning technologies for schools and organisations including Apple Education. James is an advocate for purposeful, balanced use of technology in schools, always anchored in relationships and student growth.
A regular conference speaker, he has presented at BETT, EARCOS, and Learning 21 on topics including leadership, wellbeing, and the effective use of technology in education
