This session will share concrete examples that have emerged from the monitoring conducted for the last 3 years at an international school in Brussels. 

Beyond describing how students construct a conceptual understanding, the focus will be on tools, protocols and systems on how to monitor metacognitive processes that support the construction of conceptual understandings. 

Participants will explore practical, visual systems and protocols designed to monitor the construction of conceptual understanding.
