Sustainability at the Heart of a School Community

The session will be one of sharing best practices in implementing sustainability as a whole school.
The examples provided will be easy to replicate in any context.
Also, the integration into the curriculum aspect will also be explained with examples.
In this session, the facilitator will present tips on how to make sustainability an integral part of a school’s mission and vision. The best practices are not only easy to apply in any context in the world, but also sustainable and empowering for each member of the school community: staff, students and their parents, transcending all school levels, from preschool to high school.
As sustainability is both about learning and doing, the session will look at curriculum integration as well, specifically in international schools.

Biography:
Tatiana Popa is Deputy Academic Director and Head of Secondary, as well as a Global Perspectives teacher at Heritage International School in Moldova. She has been an eTwinning Ambassador since 2015.
Tatiana has been shortlisted for the Top 20 Edruptors of 2023 & 2021 by ISC Research. She has published many educational articles and participated in various global conferences and webinars.
Tatiana is also the country ambassador for the Climate Action Project in Moldova, promoting the project and sustainability initiatives nationwide and globally. She is also a country ambassador for Global School Alliance.
Tatiana is passionate about using technology in education. With new technologies emerging, she has delivered webinars and training sessions nationally and internationally about the integration of different technology and AI tools in education.
She works with the Ministry of Education of Moldova on task forces, such as Model Schools, Institutional Transformation, Curricular Reform, and more.
