We (virtually) prepared in the UH Uehiro Academy and then traveled to Shangri La Museum for Islamic Art, Culture & Design for our Journey's End event
Memories & Thoughts from Today :)
Navigator’s Notes
Today was the official end of the Virtual Road Trip 2022 & p4c Hawai‘i Summer Program! Our families joined us for our final "Journey's End" Zoom program. We began by giving our families a taste of our virtual travel. We (virtually) travelled from the University of Hawai‘i Uehiro Academy (home of p4c Hawai‘i) to the Shangri La Museum of Art, Culture & Design. This was the (virtual) site of our event.
After our travels we started our Sharing of Learning. (This program can be found by clicking on this website's "Journey's End" tab.) The VRT 2022 students had used words and images to summarize each day. Together we shared the story of our summer together. Then, after a short intermission, we enjoyed the world premiere of our VRT 2022 videos. Next we had our final p4c discussion. We reflected on what VRT 2022 meant to each of us. Finally, it was time to open our mystery envelopes and for the awarding of our official VRT 2022 certificates. It was a celebratory end to an amazing summer together!
Congratulations VRT 2022! You completed your journey! Here is a special graduation message for you from master navigator Nainoa Thompson!
You have trained well this summer and have learned a lot as you passed through the storms of the past year. Always remember that we believe in you!
