Navigator’s Notes
Day 28 of our Journey began with an amazing visit to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Our longtime friend Aunty Noel -- who grew up in Hawai‘i -- and her colleagues Ms. Julie and Ms. Jessica treated us to a live virtual tour of the museum's dinosaur hall. They rolled us through the museum and we got to check out all of the dinosaur exhibits. This included giant fossil dino skeletons! We learned a lot of fascinating things that we didn't know about dinosaurs. It is really interesting how scientists make inferences about the past based on the clues that they dig up. Our visit with the NHM of LA crew inspired a great p4c question: "What if things never evolved?" We ended our (virtual) travels today with visits to Universal Studios and Disneyland.
In the afternoon we had cooking class with Aunty Beth. Today's theme was BACON! We love Bacon and we love Aunty Beth's cooking class. Today we made BLT sandwiches and also tomatoes that were stuffed with...you guessed it....bacon!
