Memories & Thoughts from Today :)
Navigator’s Notes
We started our day with online travel to Taiwan led by Mr. Chih-Wei Peng. Mr. Peng took us on a (virtual) tour of Taipei City; showing us many of the sights and sounds of the city. Then our in-person crew met with Dr. Chad Miller. Dr. Chad shared the story of how he grew up, discovered philosophy, and became a p4c teacher. This inspired a p4c discussion about the relationship between privilege and power. We thought a lot about the various possible meanings of "privilege." After having lunch together, our in-person crew walked back into Mānoa and visited Uncle Norman from FETCH and the Hale Tauhine farm. Uncle Norman was really nice, gave us a tour, taught us about microgreens, and let us make our microgreens container and harvest limes. It was a great day!
