Online Morning
Based on a beloved classic Legend from the island of Guam, 'Maisa the Chamoru Girl who Saves Guåhan' tells the story of how a young Chamoru girl finds the strength, wisdom, and courage to lead the women of Guåhan (Guam) into battle against a giant creature from the Marianas trench that is devouring their island home.
'Maisa' is the first animated film to feature the endangered indigenous Chamorro language of Guam. For this film cultural and language experts worked diligently on bringing the language back to its historical pre contact era.

Navigator’s Notes
Today we drove around Guam. We visited the Guam Museum and the Gef Pa’go CHamoru Cultural Village. Our in-person crew had a great visit with University of Hawai‘i Philosophy professor Dr. Tamara Albertini. Dr. Albertini taught us about Ibn Tufayal’s philosophical novel Hayy Ibn Yaqzan. It was very interesting. We bet not to many kids in Hawai‘i know about Ibn Tufayal. After having a nice lunch UH Biology Major Ms. Sara gave us a fantastic tour of the UH campus. We didn’t know it was so big! Finally we had Yoga class with Aunty Naoko. It was nice to see Aunty Naoko again! It was the first ever VRT in-person day!
