Memories & Thoughts from Today :)
Navigator’s Notes
Today we woke up and (virtually) traveled to Honolulu's Bishop Museum. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Tony Smith from the Bishop Museum Planetarium. Mr. Smith guided us through the Planetarium's "Wayfinders" program. It was really cool. Our computer screens showed star maps of the night sky. We learned how to find particular constellations and stars. Then we got to be navigators. Looking at the stars we had to find our way back to Hawai‘i from Tahiti. We did it!
In the afternoon we had our final Harry Potter p4c Book Club. We discussed this question: "Do you think Harry should actually be in Slytherin?" After this we had our final LEGO class of the summer. We did micro builds and then, for the grand finale, we found out who won the summer-long LEGO points challenge! That was so much fun! We love LEGO! And we also loved learning about the night sky and the stars today.
