Online Morning
"People used to call me names, just on the street, and no on spoke up for me. No one said, "Hey, you can't call that kid that name. That's wrong."....When you see the injustice happening, you need to stand up. When you see someone being called names in public, you need to stand up."

Minidoka: An American Concentration Camp
This film tells the story of Japanese Americans who were forcibly removed from their Pacific Northwest homes during WWII and imprisoned in a concentration camp in the southern Idaho desert, solely on the basis of race.

Memories & Thoughts from Today :)
Navigator’s Notes
Today we (virtually) travelled to Idaho and visited with our friend Ranger Kurt from Minidoka National Historical Site. We visited with Ranger Kurt last summer; he was happy to see our familiar faces. Ranger Kurt shared a powerful video that told the story of the Japanese-American citizens who were forced from their homes and into internment camps. It was so unfair. We thought together with Ranger Kurt about what we should do when we know that something is wrong. After our impactful visit with Ranger Kurt, we finished the day's (virtual) travels by heading back into Wyoming, seeing random camels (it's hump day!), driving through Grand Teton National Park, and touring Yellowstone National Park. We're camping in Yellowstone tonight. Be bear aware!
In the afternoon we hung out for a while; working on this scrapbook, playing with Zoom video filters, and looking at squishmallows. Then it was time for cooking class with Aunty Beth. We made cobbler and kettle corn. Delicious! Another fun day together! 😁
VRT Zoom filter fun!
On the road!
