Memories & Thoughts from Today :)
Navigator’s Notes
We started our day by (virtually) traveling from Yellowstone National Park all the way to New York. We stopped at interesting places like the geothermal features in Yellowstone, the Prairie Homestead in South Dakota, and the Field of Dreams baseball field in Iowa. That was a long drive!
In the morning, Dr. Patricio Abinales and Angela came to tell our in-person crew about spices and the fascinating ways they are used. We had a lot of fun having taste tests. For our p4c discussion, we did a "cheese bracket" which basically paired a wide array of cheese types, made us discuss, and vote on the "better" cheese type. The cheese that won out of each pair advances to the next round or grouping until one cheese remains.
In the afternoon, we walked to the UH FETCH farm and visited with Uncle Norman. Today we learned about various pests and how to combat them. We worked together to create traps for Melon Flies. Then we finished the afternoon by continuing our p4c discussion about our "cheese bracket." Uncle Norman joined in as always and had some good ideas about cheese. Today turned out to be largely focused on food. We like talking about food! We like eating food too!

Which Cheese Reigns Supreme?

Bottom half of the bracket
