Navigator’s Notes
We started today with a (virtual) visit to our friend Ranger Becca from Big Cypress National Preserve in Florida. We learned about the habitats and seasons in this ecosystem. Then we focused on learning more about one of the ecosystem's keystone species, the American Alligator. We learned about Gator Holes, how they're made and the difference between Alligators and Crocodiles. Did you know that neither Alligators or Crocodiles are green in color? After our visit with Ranger Becca, our morning p4c was about this question: What makes something valuable? Then one of our VRT crew members who lives in Florida took us traveling through Florida and showed us some of her favorite places. Then two more of our VRT crew members took us on a (virtual) tour of Disney World. That's where we're (virtually) staying tonight!
In the afternoon we had LEGO class with Aunty Kierstin. The focus today was on making LEGO food. We watched some videos to give us ideas and then made our own LEGO food creations. It was pretty fun. It was the end to another good day.
Our beautiful creations!
