The Ethical Leaders in Action TLC engages first year students in creating and sustaining a culture of lifelong leadership development, training, and education. The program seeks to empower students to become everyday leaders by providing the foundation necessary to for students to seek out and participate in opportunities for co-curricular learning, intentional engagement, self-reflection, and skill development. This emerging leaders program believes in developing visionary, goal-driven, and action-oriented student leaders.
- Students will develop their own working definition of leadership through exploration of different leadership skills, traits, and styles. Examples of some target outcomes: Self awareness, delegation, properly conduct group work (effective collaboration), hold each other accountable, communicate effectively, properly accept and utilize feedback, build and sustain confidence
- Students will enhance their awareness and commitment towards effective citizenship and social responsibility through learning collaboratively, teaming for success, rallying campus spirit, and incorporating ethical leadership.
HOW TO APPLY
There is a place on the Online Housing Application (required for all residential students) where first year students may indicate their interest in being part of the Ethical Leaders in Action TLC and respond to application questions.
Note that if you make this indication, you'll likely be paired with another individual in the Ethical Leaders in Action TLC so roommate options may be restricted.
