Room Change Requests
If you are seeking a room change due to a conflict with a roommate or suitemate, please contact your Resident Advisor first. They, in consultation with the Assistant Community Director and/or Community Director may recommend follow-up actions for you and/or your roommate. While it is not our goal to make students live together when it's not working out, we do intend to address conflicts through individual conversations and possibly mediation and then make reassignment decisions based on the best interest of all involved; students are expected to engage in these processes. Contact your residence hall staff with questions.

Room changes may be restricted when there are very limited vacancies and during "room change freezes" which are specific times of the year when ResEd&Housing resources are being utilized for other housing processes.
Waitlists
Housing options are indeed limited and students' requested preferences cannot be guaranteed. However, housing assignments are fluid and ResEd&Housing will offer reassignments as often as possible to those registered on a Housing Waitlist.
If you would like to request housing placement other than your current assignment (or currently available options), register on the respective Housing Waitlist through MyHousing Self-Service, video and screenshot instructions below.
Waitlist requests will be considered only if and when possible and based on availability. This is often only after all general housing assignment processes are complete, and can be anytime leading up to or during the pertinent terms.
Waitlist requests are prioritized by earned credit hours (greatest to fewest) and then by the date/time the request was registered.
