Classroom Environmental Interventions
Sensory Break Box
Ideally, each classroom should have a “Quiet Corner” where the students can go to if they need a break.
The quiet corner should be in a corner where it is out of the path of traffic in the classroom.
Should have a rug beneath and options for seating such as a bean bag chair, egg chair, rocker, gel discs, etc.
Should have a shelf to house sensory break items.
The items to include for a break can be found at “Fun and Function” and can include:
Pop tubes
Fidget lap pad
