Sensory Break Box


  1. Ideally, each classroom should have a “Quiet Corner” where the students can go to if they need a break.

  2. The quiet corner should be in a corner where it is out of the path of traffic in the classroom.

  3. Should have a rug beneath and options for seating such as a bean bag chair, egg chair, rocker, gel discs, etc.

  4. Should have a shelf to house sensory break items.

  5. The items to include for a break can be found at “Fun and Function” and can include:

    1. Pop tubes

    2. Fidget lap pad

    3. Weighted worm

    4. Weighted tie

    5. Yoga cards

    6. Putty set (scented)

    7. Spikey tactile balls

    8. Fidget kep chain

    9. Mandalas for coloring

    10. Books to read

    11. Finger gel fidgets

    12. Busy fingers marble maze

    13. ABC look and feel pad

    14. Vibrating animal
