Raindrops

Materials Needed:

• blue clay

• picture of umbrella or landscape

• table top easel

Directions:

• place the picture on the tabletop easel

• Roll the clay into tiny balls that are the size of peas

• Use only your fingertips to roll

• pinch one end of the ball to form a raindrop shape

• stick raindrops onto the picture

Modifications:

• bring into science by having picture of the water cycle

• arms placed on table gives more stability, making the task easier

• arms hanging in space gives less stability, making the task harder
