Elastic Bands

Materials Needed:

  • elastic bands

Directions:

  • cup your hand with fingers pointed up to ceiling

  • put an elastic band around the tips of your fingers and thumb

  • open and close your fingers without having the elastic band fling off.

Goal:

  • work to develop arches of the hand

Modifications:

  • use smaller wider bands to increase level of difficulty

  • arms leaning on table or legs gives more support

  • arms in space requires more trunk stability
