Stringing Beads
Materials Needed:
small beads
flat vinyl lace
scissors
Directions:
cut a piece of string about 12" long
using the non-dominant hand, hold the bead with thumb and pointer
with the dominant hand, push the lace through the bead
slide the fingers back along the l ace as you push the bead through
then pick up the beginning of the string with your dominant hand again, and bead another one on
see how many beads you can fit on the string
Goals:
shift/in-hand manipulation
Modifications:
make sure the pinky and ring finger are curled up and stabilized in the palm
arms placed on table gives more stability, making the task easier
arms hanging in space gives less stability, making the task harder
