Stringing Paper Clips

Materials Needed:

• 25 paper clips per student

• timer

Directions:

• take 10 paper clips and see how long it takes to hook them end to end

• use only your fingers to link them

• repeat and try to beat your time

• how long does it take to do 25?

Goals:

• simple rotation

• in-hand manipulation

• separation of the two sides of the hand
