Push Pin Pictures

Materials:

• push pins

• pictures from magazines

• or draw your own pictures with paper/markers

• carpet square to rest paper on

Directions:

• place a magazine or your own picture on top of a carpet square

• hold a push pin with your thumb, pointer, and middle finger

• punch small holes close together around the outline

• can be punched close enough to punch the shape out

• or you can leave small spaces in the holes to use the picture as a light catcher when hung in the window

Modifications:

• use jumbo push pins to make the task easier

• use a picture from a classroom worksheet so that it goes with the lesson

• supervise students with push pin use
