MAZE is Fremont Unified School District’s annual data confirmation process (Aeries Parent Portal) in which parents/guardians login:
Please double check your email/account information in the top right corner,
provide required information for each enrolled student - such as emergency contacts,
acknowledge certain parent/guardian and student rights and responsibilities, and
access specific school forms/information.
Completing the MAZE process ensures your student’s school has accurate information, and allows families to view student schedules/classroom assignments and their teachers when that information is released.
Any teacher/schedule information is NOT FINAL until released by the school sites a few days before the start of school.
Portal Logins (troubleshooting tips)
For Aeries support please email portalsupport@fusdk12.net or contact your student's school office.
All students must attend the first day of school on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Students who are not in school the first day will not be guaranteed a seat in their assigned classes, and may be overloaded to other schools upon return.
Parents/Guardians must notify office staff if a student will be absent for illness. Seats will not be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified.
Click here to find our instructional calendar with holidays, report card dates, and other important dates.
Parents/Guardians can wait with their students in their lines on the sidewalks but may not enter campus. Please abide by the signage on the sidewalks and do not pass the designated red lines. TK/Kindergarten students should be walked up to the patio in front of room 1. Please wait until you see the teacher and then release your student to them.
Here is the 2025-26 Voluntary Classroom Supply List . Items on this list are suggested by teachers and your contributions are greatly appreciated. Materials should be sent to school with students during the first week of school.
Please review Mission Valley's Family Handbook and familiarize yourself with our school policies and procedures.
Please help us keep our students and staff safe by following our parking and valet procedures. Safety is our number one priority in the morning and afternoons as our students and staff arrive and depart from school. Please pass this message along to your carpool drivers as well.
MORNING (UNLOADING)
Families dropping off students must enter the campus from the cone lane on Denise Street. You can ONLY get into the queue from Lockwood Avenue/Chadbourne Drive. There are no left turns from McKay Street or from Denise Street into or out of the school valet area. Please pull all the way forward into the valet and do not get out of your vehicle. Other passengers who are not Mission Valley students need to remain in the vehicle as well. The unloading/loading zone begins after the crosswalk/flagpole and ends after the carpool turnout. Please do not unload along the red curbs or in the middle of the street. Keep your vehicle moving and don’t stop in the middle of the valet as it impedes the traffic flow. Ten to twelve cars can enter the zone at a time. Pedestrians need to use designated crosswalks. They should not cross the parking lot or grass island.
AFTERNOON (LOADING)
Follow the same traffic procedures as the morning drop off. Vehicles should enter the valet no less than 5 minutes before your student’s final bell. For example, if you have a 5th grader only, enter the valet after 2:40pm on regular days. If you arrive too early you will be asked to go around the block and begin the procedure again. This will allow families to use the valet to pick up younger students that get out earlier. Students should wait for shuttle drivers in the “carpool” zone.
PARKING
The parking lots in the front and back of the school are for Mission Valley staff only. The side access road is for EMERGENCY VEHICLES, MISSION VALLEY STAFF, and FUSD DELIVERIES ONLY. If you park in the surrounding neighborhood please respect red curbs, private driveways, and crosswalks. Please keep the bus loop clear for DISTRICT SCHOOL BUSES and CONTRACTED PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION only.
In partnership with the Fremont Safe Routes to School Program we have enjoyed conducting bicycle, scooter and pedestrian safety education for our students. As you know a bicycle helmet is a big part of safety especially when you consider that 85% of head injuries can be avoided if the bicyclist or scooter rider is wearing helmet. Please use this guide to fit your student's helmet properly. We have a limited number of free bike helmets available for students who need them. Please contact Principal McClintock or the office if you need a helmet.
It's that time of the year to nominate (or self-nominate) parent/community committee members for our 2025-26 School Site Council.
The Commitment: Elected members would serve a 2-year term and attend SSC meetings five times per year (Sep 16, Nov 18, Jan 20, Mar 24, and Apr 21, 3:00-4:00pm on Zoom). Parent/community members would work with school staff to edit and approve the Comprehensive School Safety Plan (CSSP) and the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) for the continued growth of student success in order to close the achievement gap and enhance and enrich the school experience for all students.
Process/Deadline: There are currently 2 open seats which need to be filled. Those who are interested or those who would like to nominate someone else shall submit this NOMINATION FORM on or before August 29, 2025. Ballots will then be distributed to the Mission Valley community via email.

Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 26th. At 6:00pm there will be a short presentation in the multiuse room with Principal McClintock and the Mission Valley School Association (MVSA). Classroom presentations will be 6:15-7:00pm. This is a time to meet your child's teacher and become familiar with classroom routines and expectations. Should you need time to discuss individual needs related to your student please contact the teacher to set up a separate meeting.

We appreciate Aashrith M and Boy Scout Troop #153 for their volunteer work in upgrading our school garden. The team repaired two planter boxes that were vandalized last school year. They also built two brand new boxes for our students to use! If you would like to volunteer and help take care of our garden this year please reach out to Principal McClintock.
Eco Innovate was sparked in January 2024 by a team of high schoolers who discovered a passion for solving environmental issues with state-of-the-art technology. The team installs bird boxes to gather data on bird populations and ecological health, in particular the Tree Swallow population in Fremont. Last spring a box was implemented in Mission Valley and other FUSD sites. The team aims to monitor swallow populations through bird boxes fitted with infrared-detecting Raspberry Pi cameras, infrared LEDs to take photos at night and in the dark, and a Cloud storage system. Below is the QR code where you can view the photos taken inside Mission Valley's bird box! Reach out to birdboxers11124@gmail.com for any inquires.
Families at Mission Valley may enroll their child in a before and after school extended day program with the YMCA. Families with students who are designated in one or more specific categories (English learners, foster youth, homeless students, migrant students, and students who are free or reduced-price meal eligible) may be eligible to participate in the YMCA Program at Mission Valley at no cost through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P). Please submit the ELO-P application to determine eligibility and visit the FUSD ELO-P website for details.
All students are eligible for one free breakfast meal and one lunch meal this school year. Breakfast is served in the multiuse room daily from 7:45-8:10am. Drop off your student in the front of school or valet. Students will follow the signs and walk down the main hallway to the multiuse room. After eating and cleaning up, students go out to the blacktop to be in line by the start bell.
The lunch break for grades 3-5 is from 11:00-11:45am grades K-2 from 11:45am-12:30pm. After eating and cleaning up, students will go to the blacktop and play structures for recess.
If students forget lunches and water bottles you can leave them in the "lunch cart" in front of the office by 10:30am daily. The cart will be delivered to the multiuse room before lunchtime and it is the student's responsibility to retrieve their items. Students who forget to bring lunch may receive a free school lunch. Students should bring a pre-filled water bottle to school daily and may refill water bottles at our refilling stations as needed.
