Abstract
In this work, we carried out a literature review on some alternative formalisms of orthodox quantum theory. In particular, we presented the De Broglie-Bohm theory and a formalism that takes into account two coupled real Hamilton-Jacobi type equations. We showed a heuristic derivation of the Schrödinger equation through the Hamilton principle and some interpretations that have emerged since then. Additionally, we discussed the dynamic evolution of quantum particles using the concept of trajectories and deterministic measurements in an arbitrary physical system. Finally, we also discussed possible implications for quantum cosmology from the perspective of semiclassical approximations through transformations between the formalisms presented.
