Experience in the letter writing course

Participating in this course was fun and an interesting experience so far. So far, my penpal and I have written 11 emails to each other. Hearing about my penpals lifestyle and culture was entertaining and fun. Coming up with conversations and topics to talk about was a bit hard, since I am not experienced in making conversations that are not face to face with acquaintances. 

The main topics in my mail with my pen pal was about our lifestyles, dreams and abilities. I got to know my penpal quite well and didn’t have an issue getting them to open up. It was a bit amusing for me to notice that my penpal would copy the way I wrote. I switched my writing style multiple times during this course, and my pen pal never failed to copy it. This has caused me to jokingly create a conspiracy theory where one can deduce that this course is not actually a project for finnish students to write to Chinese students, but a turing test where China tests if finnish students can notice if they are communicating with an AI.
