In this unit, students focus on the essential processes and strategies for running a business smoothly and successfully to reach set objectives. Students look at different types of businesses and what they aim to achieve, considering who their stakeholders are. Together we will explore ways to manage both employees and daily business tasks effectively to meet these goals. Students will also tackle the complexities and difficulties of running a business. Throughout the unit, analysis of real-world examples from Australia and around the world over the past four years will be undertaken, comparing theory with practice.
Businesses always face challenges to stay on track and achieve their goals. In this unit, students will explore why it's crucial to regularly check key performance indicators (KPIs) to see how well a business is doing right now and plan for its future success. They’ll learn about a theoretical model for making changes and study different strategies to handle these changes in the best possible way to make the business better. Students will also look into why having strong management and leadership is essential during times of change. Using recent real-life examples from the past four years, students will get to see how businesses put these theories into practice and evaluate how well they work in the real world.
